THE CONTEXT
WHEN TYPE STARTS TO SPEAK BACK
TypeGloss emerged from a fascination with how typography affects identity and perception. Influenced by queer theory and zine culture, this publication explores language as a material rather than just text. What does it mean to design for emotion over readability?
THE APPROACH
SENSORY, SLIPPERY, SELF-MADE
This visual exploration captures fragmentation, fluidity, and defiance. Each spread uses opacity, repetition, and hand-marked elements to reflect the layers of emotion, memory, and meaning in reading. The emphasis is on the traces words leave on the page and the body, rather than clarity.
